Peace	Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov - for their efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, which is a precondition for democracy and lasting peace.

 Who was Alfred Nobel 

Alfred Nobel was a Swedish chemist and engineer, who was most famously known for the invention of dynamite. He had passed away in 1896.  He had left behind a will, which stated that all of his "remaining realisable assets" should be used to establish five prizes. The prize came to be known as "Nobel Prizes" and they were first awarded in 1901.
